Dr. Ziegler acquires majority stake in R+S Group AG
With Dr. Manfred Ziegler, R+S Group AG – one of the leading service providers for building, marine and industrial technology – has gained a new shareholder. He bought the shares from the previous majority shareholder and company founder Markus Röhner. He is leaving the company at his own request in order to spend more time with his family. Besides Ziegler, Haspa BGM from Hamburg is the only other shareholder. The completion of the change in shareholding is still subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities.
The fact that Röhner is selling his shares to Dr. Ziegler is no coincidence: “Dr. Ziegler is a real added value. As the founder of the company, it was particularly important to me to know that the R+S Group was in trustworthy hands. I am grateful and happy to have found this solution and see my life’s work in good hands with the two shareholders.” Ralph Burkhardt, Chairman of the Management Board of R+S Group AG, is also pleased: “The Management Board has been working successfully with both shareholders on the Supervisory Board for a long time. This will continue to be the case in the future. The new structure gives R+S Group AG sufficient potential and a good basis for further developing the company in the coming years.”
Dr. Ziegler remains Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Another member is Carsten Röhrs, Managing Director of Haspa BGM. Rudolf Menningen will be appointed as the new Commercial Director at the next meeting.
